It ’ s been about a month since the YSS cartridges and shock were fitted to my Tenere 700 . If you haven ’ t read my previous story ( click the link above ), here ’ s the TL ; DR ... I called Robert Hadley at RS Motorcycles knowing I needed to do something with my Tenere 700 ’ s suspension , but no idea what . We decided to throw the book at the bike , with a new YSS shock equipped with both high and low-speed compression damping , rebound and preload adjustment . We also went with YSS cartridges to replace the Yamaha items up front .

ON THE ROAD On road I found the difference fairly noticeable , but not overly obvious . The biggest change I have noticed is the bike dives much less under braking , and there ’ s less squat from the rear end under acceleration . Instead , it feels more stable and transfers the load through the tyres better . As well as this , the bike is more controllable and predictable , feeling more planted transitioning from , say , a sweeping left to a sweeping right .
