day one sections and even given the privilege to mark out two sections of my own design ( which turned out to be challenging for reasons yet to be disclosed ) as well as hump and carry for the setup committee . It was the Tuesday before Queens Birthday ( the traditional date for the K3DT ) with the terrain a mixture of dry and slippery banks ,
streams , drains , logs and greasy tree roots . Torrential rain on the Friday changed the nature of the terrain making the event a little more challenging than was intended . ‘ My ’ sections were No . 5 ( over a couple of very slippery logs in the mud at an angle and took heavy losses for most who couldn ’ t master the technique ) and No . 7 ( which consisted of boggy downhill swamp
