Developed by the Airoh H-Lab the new AMSS system consists of two
different density shells connected together by a rubber damping ring on a central pin
and a set of rubber elements placed between the two shells. These highly elastic
elements support the shells during heavy-duty performance allowing the liners to rotate
independently to the outer shell in any direction. AMSS reduces the rotational acceleration
energy transmitted to the head in an impact, reducing the chance of a serious injury to the
brain.
