four F2 World titles with one . The chassis of the F1 attracted as much attention as the engine . The steel tubular space frame used the engine as a stressed member . When I bought the F1 I had mixed feelings about the 18-inch rear and 16-inch front wheels , but soon got used to the combination . on the road even on the mildest of corners . I suppose I should have changed it . The Laguna Seca had only a side stand , which is all it needed . In conclusion the F1 was my favourite , and if I still owned it , I would be tempted to keep it in the house . Probably in the living room .
F1 LAGUNA SECA There were several things I liked on the standard F1 , which had disappeared from the F1 Laguna Seca , which is the model I moved to next . The sculptured aluminium tank for example , the 280mm floating Brembo disc brakes up front . The Laguna Seca had a steel tank , and fixed discs , but the rear 18-inch wheel had been replaced with a 16-inch , and the silly centrestand on the standard bike had been done away with . It scraped
