Adventure ride in NZ. Organised in conjunction with us here at Kiwi Rider Magazine, the event will be open to all brands, however, with nearly 500 CFMOTO 450MT models sold into the market, 150 places will be set aside for owners of New Zealand’ s best-selling motorcycle. The event will be based at Lakes Ranch, Rotorua over the weekend May 23-25 and will offer both a tar-seal route and a gravel / seal route. Both routes will be available as a GPS file. The gravel route will use some local gravel roads and approximately 180km of stunning forestry tracks and roads, as well as some Challenge sections for those with knobbly tyres. Enduro legend Sean Clarke is sorting the tracks, so it should be a spectacular route. The course will also visit Ben Townley’ s Pukemara Dirt World, with the 28km of trails available as an extra-special Challenge section. There will be a short loop for those without knobbly tyres to experience some off road, which will be weather dependant. The event will follow the style that Kiwi Rider has developed over the years; sign-on late Friday afternoon, welcome dinner and a short briefing, Saturday morning is ride day with the first riders leaving at 8.30am, followed by dinner and prizegiving and socialising that evening. We’ re even putting on breakfast on Sunday morning to fortify you for the ride home. We expect the ride to fill up fast, but don’ t panic if you cannot get a spot as we’ re looking to repeat the event in Spring for those who don’ t make it.
