GAJSER GRABS THE WIN... AGAIN
Slovenian Honda HRC rider, Tim Gajser made it four wins on the trot in France, securing the St Jean D’ Angely Circuit round with a clean sweep on the hilly circuit. With a healthy lead of 29 points from his nearest rival, Frenchman Romain Febvre, after just three rounds, Gajser looked smooth and comfortable, stretching out his lead easily in Race 1. Race 2 he made it hard for himself, not getting a great start and having to make his way through from the middle of the field. The Slovenian ace made rapid progress up to fourth but visibly put in a hard effort from there. As the rain fell, Gajser seemed to have even more of an edge, clinically closing in and passing to the lead. Once in front, his lead extended and nobody got close. With five titles already under his belt, this is his most dominant start to any season, leaving everyone else in serious‘ catch me if you can’ territory. Three rounds and only Febvre( Kawasaki) and Lucas Coenen( KTM) are even within a round-perfect score( 50 points) of him.
Sure, it is a long season but those points are hard to make up and with a good buffer, Gajser’ s confidence will add even more pace to the Honda rider.
