It ’ s a faithful rendition , well-made and mannered , with an impeccable presentation of sturdy British fortitude , except it isn ’ t , of course . It ’ s put together well , is more than likely reliable and doesn ’ t leak oil all over the footpath like its distant British forebears .
MEA CULPA I started this review relating my first experience of the Bullet , after climbing off many kilometres on some very advanced sportsbikes , and it took me some time to appreciate its charms . That perseverance paid off , the adjustment wasn ’ t needed on the bike , I can honestly say the adjustment was needed on the rider . Mea Culpa . Riding this bike put a smile on my face ; yes , it ’ s a return to the past , but more importantly the bike is a touchstone for the simpler , calmer happiness from that era . In a world of hamburger , mince and cheese pies and taco , it ’ s a welcome , crackling home-cooked Sunday Roast .
