AMCC ROUND 3
Held on the 1.1km Club Circuit at Hampton
Downs , the third round of Auckland ’ s AMCC series gave the smaller bikes their chance to
shine , and shine they did . The Big Guns will wait for Round 4 , which we will cover next issue , but the Post Classics and Superlites decided to use it as a points round as well , which closed the gap between the more powerful bikes and the more nimble as riders tackled the tight circuit . No long straight to take a breather on but with the lower cost of the circuit and the chance to run an alternative configuration , not to mention a ton of laps , it was a great day for the club . The ProTwins were there as well , but just for sheer fun rather than a points round , although there was a bunch of double-classing by riders chasing laps . In the Superlite class , Tyler King is running away with the points lead on the beautifully sorted GVR645 machine with 11 wins from as many starts . With Round 4 coming soon , will anyone be able to take a win from that combo ? The Carl Cox Motorsport Cup ran as they always do with AMCC and Tyler King is dominating this class with 9 wins from 11 starts in the Ninja Cup . Meanwhile the scrap for second continues with Oliver Pykett , Michael Robinson and Billee Fuller pushing each other to the max in a battle that will undoubtedly continue for the next few rounds Old head ( Sorry Scott ) Scott Findlay has snaffled the lead of the Hyosung Cup , after Elijah Daiken fell in the last Cup race of the meet . Daiken still holds a pretty decent lead in the Prolite 250 class after a clean sweep on the weekend . SS300 is always good and this round was a continuation on that theme . Haydn Fordyce is leading the contest on the Yamaha R3 , chased hard by a trio of Double-6 Motorsport KTM 390
