much faster than you maybe should and, of course, simply cruise with barely a sniff of throttle. Lower power modes are selectable if your mind and body are just in cruise mode. The actual power figures of 136hp/100kW @ 7750rpm are quite normal but bely just how good this engine feels. A peak torque of 143Nm makes for rather more impressive reading, with the majority of this available throughout the rev range. This is a LOT more than the company’s own S1000R. Truly a sensational engine. I’m pleased to say the suspension action is excellent too. Electronic on-the-fly adjustment is a breeze and your selections can be followed clearly and intuitively on the large, colour TFT (thin film transistor) display/ information screen. I liked the suspension and power in Dynamic mode and was happy with these as my default settings. It is possible to dial in full engine power but KIWI RIDER 57
