NEW KIWI HOME FOR ITALIAN BRAND BETA I talian manufacturer Beta Motorcycles has found a new home in Aotearoa, with Euromoto taking on the distribution rights for the Tuscan brand. As a division of the wider Triumph Motorcycles New Zealand group – which itself hosts much-loved brands including Triumph Motorcycles, Aprilia, Piaggio and Moto Guzzi – Euromoto benefits from the parent company’s strong link to many of New Zealand’s favourite dealerships. As a result we’re picking that the presence of the Beta brand here in New Zealand can only get better with the confirmation of Euromoto as the country’s new distributor. Euromoto has confirmed the intended dealer network is planned to remain relatively small, with a core dealer network of seven dealers backed up by a supporting service agent network of up to 15 dealerships. The full list of dealers is set to be confirmed over the coming months. As Euromoto isn’t the first distributor of Beta in NZ, the company (being rather good sorts) is acknowledging the previous importers who have helped to build a profile for Beta within NZ over the past years by confirming that both Christchurch’s Precision Motorcycles and Kapiti’s NZ Trials will form part of the new Beta dealership network. As for the bikes themselves, the arrival date of the new metal is yet to be confirmed. However, ex-editor JB is attending the launch of the new bikes right now, so we’ll get the launch report covering the new bikes in the mag as soon as we can prise the words out of JB’s laptop. 14 KIWI RIDER
