KIWI RIDER 07 2018 VOL.1 | Page 38

My Dad had flown down to watch me racing, so he could spend a bit more time on the farm, and as Vege had work commitments he flew home leaving us with his van. So dad and I had the whole week to kill in the South Island before the next round at Levels, Timaru. We first went down to our friends, the Green’s, in Waimate, and had a great time with them. After two days there Dad and I pretty much Tiki-toured around the South Island going to Queenstown for the first time, and then all the way down to Winton and Milford Sound. Wow, Milford Sound, what an impressive place! Thanks to the Green’s and the Schreurs for having us over that week, it was lots of fun. THANKS I’d like to say thank you to everyone who’s helped me throughout the year, it wouldn’t have been possible without you all. An extra special thanks goes to Pete ‘Vege’ McPhee for giving me this awesome opportunity, I am beyond thankful. Another special thanks to Mum, Dad, Billee, Ruby, Nana and Poppa for all your support throughout the season. Garth May for all the work you did behind the scenes. Mouse, Barry and Paul Jelaca for all their specialist mechanic work, and Barry again for the use of his generator over the season. NEXT ISSUE: KR’s rider Zac Fuller finishes off the story of his season racing in the Gixxer Cup and Blake Ross takes us through his season riding the Gixxer Cup for Whyteline Ltd.
