The fact the Lambretta has the styling
cues of its classic forebears means
it stands out from the pack and suits
chic urban environs just fine
Controls on the Lambretta are easy to use
and the LED head and tail lights look great
with the integrated Lambretta logo. The
headlight is also a very bright white light and
works very well. There’s an indicator beep
alarm to remind you to turn them off, which
actually proved itself very useful. The brakes
are strong and both are handlebar lever
operated in typical modern scooter style.
I enjoyed my time with the V200 Special
and found the jump-on-and-go ease of use
convenient for errands and general running
around. The fact the Lambretta has the
styling cues of its classic forebears means
it stands out from the pack and suits chic
urban environs just fine. Whilst my test bike
was a classic, light metallic blue I see there’s a
range of bolder sport colours and Lambretta
graphics to make a bit more of a statement if
desired. There’s also a selection of accessories
available including front and rear folding
luggage racks and a screen to keep the
weather off. If you’re in the market for a stylish
new scoot for urban duties I’d add the new
V200 Special to your test-ride list.
