Puccetti Kawasaki ZX-10R rider Toprak Razgatlioglŭ’s weekend started off well with a solid 6th place in WSBK Race 1. In the Tissot
Superpole sprint race on Sunday morning, he was taken out whilst running 8th by Mercardo who over-reached himself going into Turn
4. Whilst able to remount, the crash lost the young Turk a big handful of places and he came home in 15th spot.
Worse was to follow in WSBK Race 2 when his gearshift linkage failed, possibly as a consequence of damage sustained in the earlier
crash. This meant he went from 8th to DNF and this left him with a disappointing 11th place on the leader board heading to Round 2 in
Thailand, a position which didn’t reflect his real pace.
