IT’S A GIRL GANG
F
ollowing on from last year’s successful
women’s dirt riding weekend, The Queens of
Dirt are back with It’s A Girl Gang. Taking place
over the weekend of April 4-5, this will be a dirty
weekend no female rider should miss.
With trail rides on both forestry and farm trails
there’s something for everyone. Tempted but
unsure? Don’t worry, the ladies have also included
loops for novice riders so everyone can join the
fun. There’s coaching too with Jemma Wilson
from Australia and there’ll be plenty of very
experienced riders and racers such as Natasha
Cairns there to give you hints and tips. Last year’s
stand out event was undoubtedly the Moto Ice-
Cream Relay...
There’s an evening social function too with dinner,
a DJ and loads more. Head to www.queensofdirt.

former owners Torrot has sold the rights
to the previous generation of bikes to Spanish
firm Rieju.
Announced by Rieju earlier this month, an
agreement has been reached between the two
Catalan companies that sees Torrot sell Rieju all
of the intellectual and industrial property formally
associated with the Gas Gas enduro motorcycle
platform, which will now be manufactured and
marketed under the Rieju brand.
“This agreement allows Rieju an immediate
presence in the off-road competition segment
with larger capacity machines than usual for Rieju,
as well as a significant expansion of our client
portfolio, and important openings to new markets,
says Rieju CEO Jordi Riera.
“We are very excited for this new adventure and
the enormous challenge that this entails. We have
enormous experience in our design, manufacture
and distribution structure, so we are convinced
that this project will be a success for our company.”
Assembly will begin at the Rieju factory in Figueres
with distribution of the bikes set to begin in June
with the bikes marketed as 2021 Rieju models.
