SHINY SIDE UP RETURNS FOR 2020
A
CC’s Shiny Side Up motorcycle events are
locked in for 2020, covering the country
like never before. For 2020 there are
events in more locations than any previous year.
This year each event is split into two different
type of event, with the Shiny Side Up Bike
Fest, hitting four locations across the country
between the February 17 and March 9. Then
there’s the Shiny Side Up Talk Series, which will
visit an additional seven locations between
the February 6 and March 4. Speakers at the
Talk Series include Andrew Stroud, Dave Moss,
Simon Gotlieb, Sgt Peter Sowter and others,
covering topics from how gear is tested to what
happens when you lock up a front wheel going
into a corner, and how to walk away from a
20 KIWI RIDER
crash. The Shiny Side Up Bike Fest events (now
in their fifth year) promise to be a full-on day
with stunt demonstrations by Dave McKenna,
a Motogymkhana competition, Trials Demos
from Jake Whitaker, tips and tricks on offer
from competition and professional riders, all
with the aim that everyone leaves the event
a better rider. Attendees will hear from well-
known and respected personalities and experts,
and should leave feeling empowered with new
knowledge to get the most out of their riding.
Our very own Ray Heron will be putting his gift
of the gab to good use as the MC for all four
Shiny Side Up Bike Fest events, so if you see him,
make sure you say “hi”. More info on dates and
locations can be found at shinysideup.co.nz
