THRUXTON TFC Headlining the Triumph Factory Custom range is the limited edition Thruxton TFC. Like all future Triumph TFC models will be, the Thruxton TFC is limited to just 750 units worldwide, with the bike itself adding more power to a stripped back, lightweight pack- age to make a machine worthy of the Factory Custom name. Triumph claims that because the Thrux- ton TFC is limited to just those 750 bikes, it makes for the most desirable bike in their extensive modern classic lineup. We’d have to agree just looking at it! Starting with the engine, Triumph has tweaked the 1200cc High Power parallel twin of the Thruxton R to give the TFC 10hp more than its predecessor. Much like the Thruxton R, the Thruxton TFC comes out of the crate with fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, but that is pretty much where the similarities in spec end. Giving the TFC a bit of bling is a Brembo radial master cylinder and adjustable brake lever, race-specification Metzeler Racetec RR tyres and a Titanium Vance & Hines exhaust sys- tem with carbon fibre end caps. Then we get to the real party piece - the Thruxton TFC’s carbon fibre bodywork. From the bikini fairing to the rear seat cowling, the Thruxton TFC is loaded with tiny touches amongst the swathes of carbon fibre. In a very classy touch, each Thruxton TFC owner will also receive a special tailor-made TFC handover pack unique to their bike, fea- turing a numbered letter signed by Triumph’s CEO Nick Bloor, a personalised custom build book, and – to keep their bike dust free – a beautiful Thruxton TFC bike cover. No word yet from Triumph New Zealand on how many, if any, Thruxton TFCs will be making their way here, but we’ll keep you up to date as soon as we get word.
