I’ve got a five-year contract, so I think we’ll
be back.”
Brabec took the crown over Husqvarna’s
Pablo Quintanilla and KTM’s defending
champion Toby Price.
Earning his best result at the event by
putting in an excellent performance over
the entire 12 stages on his Husqvarna FR
450 Rally machine, Quintanilla bettered
his previous best finish of third place in
the 2016 Dakar to bring home to Husqvarna
their highest ever event result to date.
For Australian rally star Toby Price, the 2020
Dakar will be one he will want to forget.
After being first on the scene of Paulo
Goncalves’ fatal crash (and last to leave), the
Australian battled to remain on the pace with
the harsh realities of the dark side of the rally
firmly etched in his mind.
At the end of the rally, Price was pleased to
be on the podium but also clearly relieved to
make it to the finish line in Qiddayah.

Dakar – every time I’ve made it to the finish
